Francisco Verdinez JR
Francisco – or as everyone calls him, Frankie – was born and raised in Florida, including DeLand and Astor. As a child, he was always outside playing sports, fishing, hunting and doing anything that involved being outside. He was also raised in a family of soccer players. It was only natural to continue the family tradition.
While at Umatilla High School, he was the Most Valuable Player two years in a row, Most Outstanding Player, Districts Finest Player, and school record for Most Goals in a Season, which was 32 goals. All his hard work helped him gain many scholarships to play college soccer from Florida Gulf Coast University, Monroe College in New York, University of Denver, Flagler University, and Stetson University. Sadly, during the end of his junior year season while playing at Disney International, he suffered a tragic injury that ended up tearing his Meniscus, ACL, MCL, and LCL resulting in losing all his scholarships and chance of college soccer.
As John Milton’s saying goes, “Every cloud has a silver lining.” Devastated and emotionally scarred from losing his dream of college soccer, he swore to himself he would recover and help prevent this from happening to others. After going through rehabilitation, he realized he enjoyed the steps and exercises used to help him strengthen his knee. It was at this point, he discovered his love for strength training. With a new found love for health and exercise, he decided to attend Keiser University in Daytona Beach.
During his clinical hours, Frankie was sent to Revive and immediately feel in love with the facility and the people. Shortly after he received his certification for the American College of Sports Medicine and finished his associates degree in Sports Medicine and Fitness Technology, he wanted to join the Revive team.
Much of Frankie’s inspiration stems from his mother. Frankie and his brother were raised by his mother only. She constantly told them that everything in life is attainable if you have the right mind, attitude, drive, and always see the good in life. He has always looked at his mother as being incredibly strong and hardworking, especially as a single mother, but on top of that, she always done everything with a smile on her face – no matter what. Her example is what drives Frankie to continually strive for the best and always with a smile.
Currently, his main goal stays the same he’s had for years – help athletes to get stronger and better so they never have to go through the same pain and suffering he did. Other goals include – helping people attain the bodies they have dreamed of, help with their injuries and assist in weight loss. He loves seeing the looks on people’s faces when they can do something they could not do before or when they see the scale go down. He loves the feeling of helping people achieve their goals. His long term goal is to possibly return to his old high school to train his old soccer team and help them get their feet in the doors for college. He would also love to become as successful and well-known as Arnold and Danny.
